Louisville Round-Up

I love Louisville. I knew nothing about it going into my recent trip there, but thanks to a new friend from Instagram, I found and spent my time exploring three essential Louisville neighborhoods: 1) The Highlands, 2) Old Louisville and 3) Clifton. I loved all three. The Highlands and Clifton were the most similar to each other- their terrain was hilly and each had great commercial districts to anchor their eclectic architecture. Old Louisville was nothing short of stunning. Old, historic, palatial homes defined it. It was the first neighborhood I explored in Kentucky and I could NOT stop grinning the entire time. (Can you see it? A super smiley, enthusiastic girl in flannel practically skipping down the street in the pouring rain?? That's me, my friend. That's me. I can't HELP it- this shit gets me superrrr jazzed.)

That said- I was totally inspired by the varied and colorful Victorian architecture that encompassed the city. See below for what spoke to me the most and GO TO LOUISVILLE!

(Sidebar:  this was the best place I ate and this was my soundtrack the entire trip. Shoutout to my AirBnB host for the food suggestion and to my friend Chris for the music tip-off)
