An urban explorer at heart, I strive to be a champion for overlooked spaces. From alleys to wild gardens, I am reimagining how small-scale development can foster closer ties to our neighbors. Following the renovation of “The Ship,” a cranky 1850s house in Lawrence, KS, I have turned my attention to transformative initiatives in Kansas City. These include board leadership at Manheim Gardens, a 1.5-acre community garden, and overseeing a paper alley reclamation project on my block.
